Learning to Walk

Isaac is finally trying to take a step on his own. Of course, as soon as the camera comes out to get a picture or video, he decides that he won't do it. I guess he's embarrassed or something since he's not doing it perfectly yet. He's standing on his own and he'll try to take A step towards our hands, the couch or another stationary object that he can hold on to. He's tried two steps but it always ends in a quick standing to sitting move. Ah well, we're heading in the right direction!

Some people ask if he's walking yet and I guess, since he's a year and not walking, they think there's something wrong. Well, let me remind some people... late walking isn't until 16 months or later. I didn't walk until I was 14 months and I'm just fine. Honestly, I don't care that he's not walking until 12 months because, seriously, it makes my job WAY easier.

Isaac's Mimi and Poppi got him a Walk 'n Ride toy that he can practice walking with. I didn't think he'd like it at first but the second time I stood him in front of it, he took off. Now he's walking it around the livingroom and down the hall to his bedroom. So cute!
