Our little baby boy is growing up so fast. It feels like it was just last month that I was being rushed to the hospital after my water breaking Christmas day. Here we are, a year later... so much has changed.
Isaac is one happy and well adjusted little boy. He loves being around people, reading books, playing with his toys and seeing what he can get into. He does push boundaries, but all kids do that at some point.
Of course this past year has had its ups and downs, but for the most part... being a mother has been one of the best experiences of my life. Isaac is a complete blessing. There have been several nights with little to no sleep... but he's been sleeping through the night since he was 2 months old, so I can't complain too much about the first couple months of constant exhaustion. These days, he sleeps 11-12 hours every night and takes at least 2 naps a day that are about 1 1/2-2 hours long. Sometimes more!
Isaac has only gotten sick one time this past year. He caught a little cold that held on for a little over a week. He handled it pretty well though. Of course he had his crabby times, but who wouldn't when they can't breathe through their nose and can't take any kind of cold medication besides saline drops and vapor rub.
Isaac's birthday party was awesome. We had some food, some punch and a whole lot of cake! By the end of it, it was all over the place. We just had to get him from the highchair to the tub without him touching anything. We did it and I was even able to stay clean! Woo-hoo!
We love him so much and are so excited to see what this next year has in store for our family.
