Isaac just got back from his 12 month check up. It was a little late since the doctor had been out of town and our schedules just never really matched up. Plus, the appointment was originally set for last week, but the office closed due to snow and cold temperatures which was fine with me!
He's doing great. The stats are as follows:
Weight: 22 lbs 13 1/4 oz (45%)
Height: 30 1/4" (57%)
Head Circ.: 19 1/8" (94%)
So, his weight has dropped a little bit but that's because he's so active and the doctor said it was totally fine. She was impressed at how active he is! However, his head is still HUGE! Not a big deal, we think its cuter that way.
His development is right on track and he's super healthy. He's eating great and drinking everything he needs. He's not a big juice drinker so he does a lot of water and some milk now. We still give him milk in a bottle but we're going to start weening that so he just gets sippy cups for everything. He also still gets a bottle of formula before bed each night, otherwise he wakes up in the middle of the night, starving. Our growing boy needs a little more than just milk before bed.
Three shots were given today which was a bummer. Usually they condense them into one or two, but these couldn't be condensed. The poor guy had to sit through three stabs :( Sad. He did well though, he only cried for a little bit, then we distracted him with something shiny and some cheese crackers and life was alright again.
We even treated him to a little afternoon meal out at Quiznos. I got a salad and he ate some chicken, tomatoes and cheese (all with a little honey mustard dressing on it) off my plate. I was even able to sneak some lettuce in there that he downed happily. He's such an easy going kid, its great. Now he's napping for a little bit after such a long day.
