Upcycling Day - Old T-Shirts to New Dresses

Luke and I were going through our clothes to weed out and reorganize. It's always a good time for me to practice my purging of personal things... which then turns to hoarding for purely "practical" reasons. The reasons this time around? Making clothes for Ava. I had a bunch of old t-shirts that have been grown out of, stretched out, or got holes in them. There are shirts from my past that I just don't want to get rid of (band t-shirts) so now I can make something fabulous for Ava and see my past moving forward. I made the purple shirt to fit her now but it'll grow with her for a while, which I love. The bottom two are for when she's a little bigger... probably 2-3 years old.

So cute! Where did you find this idea?? Or did you create it on your own?

Katie, You can find a lot of stuff on Pinterest, but I didn't use anyone's template for these. I usually just get ideas from stuff that I see or use her old clothes as a simple pattern and just cut the pieces bigger. Notice her stuff that I make never has sleeves? Yeah, sleeves are hard :)
