So this past Saturday, some friends of ours invited us to go to the pool with them. I knew Isaac would LOVE it since the kiddie pool was shallow enough that he could walk around without being dunked - which he hates. Ava was a toss up. She loooooves bath time but when we went to Evansville, IN for Luke marathon in April, she didn't really care to be in the pool. She didn't like how cold it was.
Weeeeell... Ava is a water baby through and through. She couldn't get enough of it! The water was SO cold, Isaac was convulsively shivering with blue lips (Ava was fine) but neither one wanted to get out. Ava would sit in the shallow part and splash in it but then want to lean down to get in all the way. She wanted that water so bad! Hilarious.
Poor Luke, it was all he could do to keep her from voluntarily face diving - all afternoon. He was in charge of the kids in the water, I was in charge of towels and sunscreen (basically meaning I got to lay out and relax most of the time). Hard job, right? He's the best.
I was the one that forced the kiddos to sit out for a while to warm up or get a snack. Ava didn't mind as much as Isaac did... she was just a little chatter box.
I did pretty well with my job except somehow, my thighs burned. That's the story of my life - they burn every time even though I slather myself in sunscreen. At least it faded after a day so it wasn't that bad. All-in-all, we had a great day at the pool with the kids.
