How'd he get to celebrate? He got to go to the pediatrician! How exciting right? You bet it is!
Weight: 9lb. 4oz. (35%)
Length: 21 inches (29%)
Head Circ.: 37.5 cm (34%)
So we're looking good. However, he had to get one shot today which as much as he screamed when it happened, I almost lost it too! I teared up a little when he started crying. Poor little guy, that's no way to celebrate a birthday... getting stabbed in the leg.
Anyway, the only thing that we need to work on with him is his head shape. He's been really stubborn and only likes sleeping on one side of his head for most of the time. I've tried everything: positioning his head to the other side when I put him down, putting him down the opposite way in the crib, all kind of stuff... to no avail. So, we're going gangbusters on it to get that head back to normal. The pediatrician said that he should be fine if we can get him to lay on the other side more equally. If we can't... he'll have to wear a helmet to reshape his knoggen. No child of mine will be wearing a helmet unless he's on the field!
Operation head-reshaping commencing in... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1.
Also, the blog entry before this one... ignore it. We think Isaac is hitting a growth spurt so he's been sleeping really restlessly and eating every 3 hours... sometimes 2 1/2 hours. I'm hoping it will slow back down again shortly and he'll start sleeping better at night but we'll see.
