Luke took me to my two-week OB appointment this morning to have my incision checked to make sure I'm healing the way I should. My doctor said that everything is looking good and I have his permission to start slowly increasing my activity. I'm allowed to drive, walk up and down stairs, go on walks, bend over and even start doing some light work outs. I'm not allowed to work out my abs at all yet though so I have to be careful about that. I'm also not allowed to do heavy lifting so laundry is still off my to-do list for a while. Luckily I have my wonderful hubby that is perfectly capable of doing such things.
We took Isaac to the doctor's appointment with us and the nurses were all doting all over him. One nurse, my favorite one, couldn't get over how cute he is. She said if we ever get sick of having him around she'd gladly take him off our hands. She's so funny!
Isaac is doing great. He's 2 weeks old today. We got his room all cleaned out, everything put away, clothes hung up and his crib all made. Now he can be taking his naps in there so he gets used to the idea of him sleeping in there soon. We still will have him in our bedroom at night as long as he's needing to feed every few hours overnight. Once he cuts down on a feeding or so, he'll be in his room at night. He's up for about 3 feedings overnight and is starting to flip his schedule so he's eating more during the day and less overnight. Ah... more sleep... it's on the horizon!
