We're finally home from the hospital. Luke and I are doing well but very tired. Last night was the first night at home and we found out that Isaac is pretty active at night... awesome. We had his feedings every 3 hours. During the day, he can barely get through a feeding before falling asleep but at night? Total opposite! He's wide eyed and wiggly. Because I can't get out of bed too often because of my incisions, Luke has to get up and get Isaac to bring him to me to feed. He just STUDIED me the whole time, eyes open the whole time. I figured he's get sleepy like usual but no. However, we did discover than music soothes him really well so that will be our vice for a while to get some sleep.
We had our first pediatrician visit this morning which went well. Isaac is in perfect health and already back up to his birth weight which is apparently crazy. We have another weigh in on Saturday just to see where he's at since he gained his weight back so quickly. Go me and my milk! Lol!
Luke is asleep on the couch at the moment with Isaac. It's pretty much adorable.
I'm doing well, it's just really hard for me to be delegated to the couch or bed. I'm a doer, not a sit and watch type of person. It's very difficult for me to sit there and watch Luke work his butt off to clean things up, put things away, run all the errands, etc. My incisions are getting better, still painful, but better. Pain meds are still needed but hey, oh well.
Either way, its good to be home.

Oh my gosh Beth! Congrats!!! I really honestly can say that I think Isaac is the cutest baby I have ever seen, and I never really thought I was all that much of a baby person. I am so happy for you and Luke!.. Miss you lots! Glad everything went good.
