Our work was so generous and all chipped in to get us our crib. They were going to wait until our Christmas party on the 19th to give it to us, but after I told our HR girl about my contractions, she thought it might be wise to go ahead and give us the crib now. Luke got it home Friday night and got it put together with the bedding and everything. It looks incredible! I thought I had pics of it on my camera, but apparently not... I'll get some to put up.
However, we did get our travel system thanks to my amazing sister Carol. It was her baby shower/Christmas gift and we LOVE it!
We also figured that the Pack n Play might be good to have so the baby can stay in our room for the first week or two. Plus, I can put him/her to nap in the living room if need be so I can work... AND its an extra changing station. Luke got it all put together and this thing is like the Ritz - freakin' - Carlton of pack 'n plays! It has 2 different levels for the baby as he/she grows, it plays music, nature sounds, it has built in lights, it's got its own mobile, and it even has a vibration setting to help the baby fall asleep. It's pretty much the coolest.
Luke got everything put together Saturday night... what a man.
