Baby Update: Week 26

I'm starting my 26th week of pregnancy and things are going pretty well. I'm getting much bigger than I was before which is fun but weird at the same time. Things that were fitting aren't anymore and its hard to even find just a plain t-shirt that fits these days.

The baby is almost 2 pounds and about 14 inches long from head to toe. Little Isava will be putting on about 6 ounces a week from now until birth and I'll be putting on about a pound a week until then. The baby's hearing is fully developed and can hear when Luke and I have a conversation, listen to music, watch tv, when Luke plays his guitar... everything. Apparently, the baby will even move to a beat that's playing. I haven't felt that yet but hey, it's pretty cool.

My next doctor visit is next week on the 15th. I'm getting my glucose levels tested to see if I show any signs of gestational diabetes. so I have to drink this disgusting orange substance and then get my blood drawn. I hear the orange drink is sick in every aspect of the word. I have to fast for 2 hours before getting my blood drawn and drink the orange drink within an hour to the draw. So many rules! And if I mess it up? Oh yeah... do it again. No way man, I'm not drinking that stuff more than once so this had better count! Yuck!

I'll let you know how it goes.
