We Own Our Home, Not the Other Way Around

Our house is a home.

Things get broken, colored on, spilled, splashed on, knocked over, messed up, colored on, torn, ripped, smashed, thrown, bounced off, slid over, slipped on, smeared, dropped, rolled into... you name it, it has probably happened in our home.

...but that's the thing. Our house is a home. WE own it. We bought it to raise a family in. Our house does not own us, nor do our possessions. Sure, we have things we like and some things are more expensive than others, but at the end of the day if something gets broken, colored on, spilled, splashed on, knocked over, messed up, colored on, torn, ripped, smashed, thrown, bounced off, slid over, slipped on, smeared, dropped or rolled into it's ok. They're just things.

We can repaint, glue, clean off, pick up or replace most things in our house. You can't do those things to a childhood. If you don't agree, don't have kids... ever.

Here's Isaac and Ava's latest collaborative work...
