Isaac has reached the "I'm too full to eat more dinner, where's my dessert?" stage, so we're starting the "If you don't have room to finish you dinner, you don't have room for dessert" logic. It's been working pretty well until tonight...
Isaac was told he could have a cookie after dinner IF (and only if) he finishes all of the food on his plate. Of course, he gets to almost the end when he declares he's too full. So I bust out my usual line of "Well, that's too bad because I guess you don't have space left for your cookie."
Isaac looks at me, says "Yes, I do!"
"Well, then I guess you have room to finish the rest of your dinner first."
"Nope. I don't." *smirk*
"Well then there's no space for a cookie." *gives "Mom eyes"*
He says a-matter-of-factly, "Yes there is. *points to a bare spot on his plate* It'll fit right here."
...you got me there Riddler.
10 minutes later, all of his food is eaten and he's enjoying his cookie. I win. Again. Mwwahahahaaaa!
