Picasso in the Making?

It's no secret that Isaac isn't talking much... still. He's starting to say a few more words. He finally busted out "Papa" for Poppy the other day. Baby steps are fine. However, we still aren't too worried about his "cognitive development" even with his lack of words. Isaac understand everything, knows what everything is and can point out any animal, color, or object you want.

Earlier this month, we were having coloring time. I was next to Isaac coloring my own picture while he did his scribble thing. I looked over at what he was doing and asked what he was drawing. When I asked him, he drew a long line off of a couple of swirls he'd drawn, he then looked at me and raised his hand up in the air (like a trunk) and made a noise like an elephant that I'd taught him. Then he pointed down at his picture and did it again. My not-even-two-year-old drew an elephant... trunk and all. He knew what he was drawing; they weren't just random scribbles and swirls. Seriously?! I'm amazed.

Take a look for yourself:
