Her length and weight are just fine and the doctor is happy with that. It's too early to tell if her current length will reflect her overall height as she gets older... so who knows if she'll be like me or Daddy :) However... her head circumference is that of her brother. Dr. Wurzel even said Ava's head shape looks like Isaac's did so she's not surprised that her head is on the larger side. Thanks to the Sinak genes, we will have two kids with massively gianormous heads :)
On a more serious note... as the doctor listened to Ava's heart, she found a faint murmur. She said it is pretty normal for newborns to have these and they typically clear up by the time they reach 6 months. So, we're going to keep an eye (or ear) on it at her 4 and 6 month appointments to make sure it's going away. Otherwise, Ava will have to go in for a few tests to see what the problem is. We had a good look at Ava's heart during our ultrasound that we had 2 days before she was born and it looked good.
All in all, she's doing great. She's eating like a champ, sleeping well and her night sleep is starting to lengthen. She's a happy, smiley little girl who loves face time with her family. She's pure joy and we couldn't love her anymore than we do.
