Officially Growth Restricted

Luke and I had another weekly appointment with our OB last night. Last week, he had said that I was measuring small and wanted us to come in for an ultrasound this week so check on Ava's size. So, we did.

We had our ultrasound, saw her little face, her little foot, belly, heart, bladder, etc. Everything looked great... but small (5lb 9oz). She's measuring in the 10th percentile for size (basically like she's 35-36 weeks gestationally). My c-section was scheduled for next Thursday on the 15th, but my doctor thought that it might be better for all of us involved if we move it up a week.

So, we're having Ava tomorrow morning. My doctor believes that she'll get better nutrition outside than in at this point and isn't too worried about her "being able to manage" outside the womb. The only issue that we could run into is that if she can't keep her body temperature high enough and she'll have to go to the NICU for incubation until she can handle it.

I'm not going to lie, I freaked out last night for a little bit but am doing better today. I'm just getting all my work stuff finished up and put together before the hospital tomorrow, getting laundry ran and packed up and getting the house put into order so it's not a total disaster when we come home next week.

If you feel so inclined, please pray for a safe delivery, healthy baby and fast recovery for momma. Having a toddler at home this time will be a bit more of a challenge since I'll have other responsibilities to Isaac. If only he wasn't so cuddly! I wouldn't be as worried :)

We'll get pictures up when we have a chance. Love to all!
