Laughter Really is the Best Medicine

Ok, the past couple days with Isaac have been very frustrating. His schedule was knocked off over the weekend but I think he's also going through a pretty significant growth spurt. Monday, he was refusing to sleep and wanting to eat every 2- 2 1/2 hours instead of his usual 3 - 3 1/2 hour feeding schedule. No biggie, I would just feed him when he wanted me to and try to get him to sleep. Oh no. He might sleep for 10-15 minutes then be up for another couple hours. Oh, and he'd be crabby because he hadn't slept and needed to.

So after a while of this, I was at my wits end of finding something to make him happy. So while he was laying on the couch, I started bouncing him on the cushion. He immediately got a huge gummy smile and... started laughing! This was the first time he'd laughed outloud like that. Oh course he'd had the "Huuuuu!" or "Haaaahhhh!" sounds but never a giggly, shrieking laugh like he was doing. It pretty much made up for all the crap he had been pulling all day long. Again, he won't do it infront of the camera, but I'm working on getting it. Patience please. (this means you, Grammy!)
