Isaac is almost 11 months old... he will be 11 months on Thanksgiving. It's crazy. He's really developing too. He's still creeping everywhere but getting much faster and more balanced. He'll creep around our entire living room ending at the gate at the top of the stairs. He'll usually stop there and stare and the front door in hopes of Daddy coming home from work. He still hasn't picked up the daily schedule of when Dad comes home, but he knows that when he does, he's always at the top of the stairs when that door opens. It's so sweet.
Along with the fun developments comes the not so fun developments. Temper tantrums have begun. Not just finding his voice and yelling but the full blown legs kicking, tensing up, immediate face reddening and forced sobs. It's starting to make my days feel very long. While juggling the everyday house demands, a part time job and Isaac... now if I put him down in his Pack 'n Play for a few minutes... tantrum. If I walk with him around the house and let go of his hand... tantrum. So, we're working on that. Isaac has always been a very content child, never really cries or fusses so this is hard for us to understand. Yes, its normal, every kid does it... but its how you handle it that determines how long or often they continue to occur.
Anyway... he's also becoming much more self reliant (minus the tantrum moments). He wants to always feed himself. If I'm feeding him pieces of anything, he will refuse it until I let him hold whatever it is and feed it to himself. It's so funny. So, he gets a mixture of pieces of fruit, steamed veggies, pasta, small pieces of meat, cheese, Cheerios, etc... breakfasts are fun because we've experiments with French toast, pancakes and scrambled eggs and he loves it all. Isaac is not a picky eater at all which makes mealtime much easier for Mommy. Another huge plus is that we haven't run across any allergies (*knock on wood*).
He'll be a year old the day after Christmas... its insane.
We're thinking he's going to be keeping those bright blue eyes... what do you think?
